Founded in 1986 by Isabella Ilacqua, the Mrs. United States National Pageant system was created out of respect and admiration for married women of beauty and intelligence.
Founder, Isabella Ilacqua
Mrs. Ilacqua sought to provide a forum to publicly recognize and acknowledge the fact that married women often play many roles as wife, mother, homemaker and/or professional with a flair and resilience uncommonly found elsewhere.
Mrs. United States® offers a spectacular, exhilarating, memorable, and unique family-oriented event. We provide married women with a forum to promote self-esteem; compete for state and national titles; meet women with similar interests; and open doors to personal and financial opportunity. We have earned a solid reputation for integrity and excellence.
Recognized as "the premier event of its kind" and the largest pageant system available to married women, each year we welcome contestants from all 50 states and the U.S. territories to a gala national pageant in the glittering city of Las Vegas!
The purpose of the Mrs. United States National Pageant® is to honor and pay tribute to the married woman. Our pageant system is designed to recognize and reward, nationally, the intelligence, success, strength, beauty, and resilience of married women from every state and territory of the United States.
Many married women are an inspiration to their families, friends, colleagues and community—the role of wife, mother and career woman does not prevent some women from finding time to become involved in community activities or from maintaining her health, beauty, and mind.
The Mrs. United States National Pageant® contestant is an intelligent, married woman who knows what she wants in her career, family, and appearance. She maintains a strong sense of identity and embodies the true spirit of "complete woman... total beauty."
