Chiffon Jenkins
Mrs. Georgia United States 2009 Chiffon is blessed and thankful for the love, support and encouragement of her family and friends. She is grateful to have found such a loving and kind soul-mate in her husband of 4 years, Mervin Jenkins. Her son, Tauren Strickland, 23, is currently serving in the United States Air Force at Nellis AFB, Nevada. Chiffon received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Chiffon is a departmental manager for a medical non-profit and enjoys giving back to those most in need of their services. Chiffon would like to dedicate her year to an issue that is near and dear to her, Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Individual Growth. Promoting abstinence, building self esteem, and education are only a few steps necessary to help with this national issue. Family is very important to Chiffon. She believes strongly that, “Tomorrow is another day for a second chance”.
