Jessica Bruenn feels honored to represent the beautiful state of Connecticut.  She is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother of two healthy, energetic boys.  She is driven by her passion to help the youth, which she does each day as a fifth grade teacher.

Mrs. Connecticut 2009 is helping to promote physical fitness in our youth.  With obesity rates in school age children on the rise, Jessica is spreading the word that a healthy lifestyle includes exercise.  She is able to instill the benefits of physical fitness in children by developing programs such as “Believe and Achieve Karate Program” and “Healthy Habits Running Club”.  She believes that educating our children about the importance of being active now, will encourage them to maintain a healthy lifestyle for the future.
