Ambre Dunavant-DeVirgilio
Mrs. New York United States 2009 Giving back energizes Mrs. New York United States® 2009. She is a Red Cross Disaster Relief Reserve Volunteer, member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Spokesperson for the Project Meridian Foundation – a non-profit fighting against human trafficking. With approximately 4 million women and children trafficked around the world each year, Ambre is passionate about educating parents and spreading the word. She believes knowledge is key to ending this plague on our children and young women. Ambre married her husband Louis in 2006. She finds Louis’s occupation, a Sergeant with the NYPD, a true inspiration. She feels blessed to be married to a man who selflessly helps others in their greatest time of need. Ambre 2009 holds a BFA degree in Fashion Design and has worked NYC’s Garment Center. Ambre is honored to have the opportunity to represent married women of the diverse, culture-rich Empire State!
