Married for 16 years, Kat and her husband moved to Washington in 2007. At that time, she was selected to be a part of the privileged few women of the Seattle Seahawks Cheerleaders. This empowered her to build camaraderie with her teammates and to serve the community, which she continues to do as a field reporter.
As a mental health professional, her experience spans from crisis counseling and therapist to professor of psychology. This led her to her volunteer platform of veteran and military awareness. Service people and their families struggle with the experiences they face to keep us safe. We, as a community, need to step up to provide support and acknowledgment for their invaluable work.
It is with great pleasure she strives to explore various venues to help those who fight for us, sacrifice their lives, and keep our freedom a gift and privilege to be celebrated.
